    master cylinder gasket help

No big, i did mine because the booster was shot, the check valve was toast, and the master was leaking internally :banghead:. im in under 200 bucks and a couple hours to install and bleed. Would have been faster but i was using a file! OP have you checked your booster/check valve yet? if its...

    master cylinder gasket help

if your booster is bad you'll either have to have it rebuilt or convert over to something else. I used a chevy booster and later 90's ram 1.25 master and my car stops like crazy! best part is the lines bolted right up!

    4 wheel disc brakes

see ive always seen them called prop valves but they are really safety valves, and sometimes a metering valve. The safety valve is just the plunger that will block a circuit if you lose pressure (i.e. buster brake line) The metering valve keeps the rear brakes from locking up from a...

    4 wheel disc brakes

since its the wildwood kits you shouldn't need the prop valve as they are setup with the correct piston diameter's to not over power the rear. Now if you worried about locking the rears up in a panic situation I would install one of these. On a drum car you need to delay and reduce pressure as...

What Bore Master Cylinder Do I Need?

ok then we are on the same page. Im not worried about the effort as I decided to run the dual 8" booster as the 7" wasn't going to gain me where I was hoping. I ordered a dual 8" booster and 1.250 master so i'll get it installed when I get a chance and let you guys know how it goes. They...

What Bore Master Cylinder Do I Need?

Huh? Move more volume thru the same path (brake line) is going to cause higher pressure. The smaller bore has more travel because it takes longer to get same volume thru brake system under less pressure.

What Bore Master Cylinder Do I Need?

ok so maybe i should be looking for the 1 1/8" bore first and see how i like it? do you think the 1.250 would be to hard even with the dual 7" or dual 8" booster and stock/high vacuum? (14-20)

What Bore Master Cylinder Do I Need?

So after figuring out that most all the boosters have the same "spread" I am looking at a GM dual 7" booster with correct aluminum master. Now where I get stuck is the bore. Currently running stock LBP 73+ discs and 10" drums. MY plan shortly is to go to the B Body 11.75 rotors with Wilwood...
