Ok so im building this lancer front end and i got a set of Big ball joint spindles and upper's. Bummer is i dont know if these spindles are 73+ A body or B body. They do not have the disc brake mounts. Can get pics if needed.

Need to know so i can order the correct wilwood kit
 
they kinda look like 73+ drum spindles

but im not sure

did you search the casting number. once i found a list of all the spindle casting numbers but i cant find it right now

Diameter of the inner wheel bearing of the shaft.
73-76 A body is larger.
Sorry, i don't have the specs between the two.
Can you read "casting" numbers on yours?
That will tell, and help.

1.375 (+.020 in a couple of spots)on the inner race

Looks like set 17 bearing which is same as A body BBJ stuff.

Maybe measure outer bearing surface and cross ref stuff at rock auto. :) If it's .75" see next line.

Guessing set 17 and set 2 bearings

47th Edition Hollander

812... part number 3722460-1 Hollander lists the 73 to 76 UCA interchange.

1439... part number 3699574 Hollander lists the 9" brake drums were available in 1973 but not 1974.
1440... part number 3699614 The 10" drums were also available in 1973 and up.

thanks for the info guys, but im not seeing a matching part number in there... bummer is the other arm, the part number is un readable. Brain isn't working yet this morning....

You are aware that "Casting numbers" are different than "Part Numbers" aren't you?
Anyway those casting numbers are 73-76 A Body Drum brake spindles.

I currently have 3 pairs of them out in the garage, and 2 pairs have good, readable numbers on them, same as yours.

So then, order your parts accordingly, nothing more to add.

Sweet! It maybe a great sticky to list out all the spindles with part numbers and casting numbers so its a quick reference! i say that cuz there is a staff member here!

If there was a complete (as possible) break down of the numbers I am sure that could be arranged.
