I ran F70-14s on Rally's with no problems even with fenderwell headers. Switched over to 14x7 slots with either an E60 or F60-14 and only rubbed on the tubes. '65 Valiant w/ a 340.

When we went from the 360 to the 383 in my sons '71 Charger, it has a Performer RPM on it. A friend advised me to make spacers (and of course, longer bolts) to raise the bracket up level with the carb. Worked like a charm. I used old alternator spacers cut to length but small pipe from Home...

I ran unknown fenderwells on my second '65. Started with F70-14s on stock Rally's at stock ride height with very little contact. Switched to 7" US slots on the front with F70s and got quite a bit of rub.

As RRR said, no 2 are the same. When my Dad and I put together my first '65 back in late '70, he used the complete exhaust system, manifolds and all (notched the rear valance for the tips), from the '68 'cuda the 340 came out of. Fit like a glove but others have said they couldn't make them fit...

Seems I do recall the drivers side was close to the firewall (only been 50 yrs. or so :p ) but it did clear. :)

I believe someone mentioned 60's 340 manifolds earlier. Probably well-known and written about previously is that '68-9 (Darts also?) 'cuda 340 manifolds as well as the complete exhaust system fits early A's (at least '65-6). My first '65 was the one my Dad put together for me in the late fall of...

Very nice. :thumbsup: Haven't seen a lace paint job in many years. That looks great. I had a '64 Chevelle for a brief time right after HS. It had a "cobweb" paint job on it. Pearl White w/ yellow cobwebs. Looked nice up close but at 20 ft. it looked like the car was dirty. :p
