    Swap Meet Score,Heads #3418915 H

I'm not sure what the H and E stand for. Maybe valve size? Those heads either came with 2.02" or 1.88" intake valves. I'm sure someone here can help you. If I were you, I would start a new thread.

    360 with 450hp

I am basicly building the same engine right now. It will be a zero deck 360 with the stock crank and rods. I have the same horsepower goal, but I am using a set of ported J heads that I plan on flowing 250ish on the intake @ .50 The pistons that I am using are a KB107, cam package is a...

    4.0L HO Jeep Engine Build

Cool thread Ramcharger. I just picked up an 87 Cherokee Larado with the 4.0 and 5 speed from a coworker for $300. It runs, she parked it three years ago because of a bad power steering pump and bald tires. LOL. Pulled it home last week. When I get a chance I will be getting it up and...

    Stupid question, sorry

325/50/15s and they are an extremely tight fit. Had to trim the fender lip and I have about a 1/2" on each side with no rubbing. Good thing I have a panhard bar. :-D

    whomp whomp whomp

Something isn't right with your oiling system. I am running a stock replacment pump and at a cold start I have 65 at idle then I slowly drops down to about 35 when warm. Cruising down the road once warm I am running about 50 psi. I am also running 20/50 VR1. Did you pull your oil pump...

    Dart falls on it's face.

It is hard to tell, because of the jets and squirter that I installed. I am sure it has to help over the stocker 5k plus.

    Dart falls on it's face.

Thanks for the input everyone. In the last couple of days while the carb was torn apart I blew out all of the fuel lines and vent line and there was no blockage. I installed 66 primaries and a 35 squirter. Installed the chrome box. Checked the timing and set it at 18 initial and 34 total...

    Dart falls on it's face.

Well I tore apart the holley again today. I actually have 64's in the primarys and the power valve is a 6.5 I assume because of the 6 & 5 on it?

    Dart falls on it's face.

This is the first time that I have really opened it up to 5,500-6K. I have been taking it fairly easy to break in the motor a little. It really only does it when I hold it to the floor for an extended period of time. I still think that it may be getting lean or running out of fuel. The...

    Dart falls on it's face.

Thanks W&C. I live at 5,500' elevation, so I thought the jetting would be about right. I have heard that for every 2,000' that you go down 1 jet, so 62 seemed pretty close, but they are easy to change and I will play it them.

    Dart falls on it's face.

Thanks everyone. I have just gotten the car on the road in the last week after building this engine and I am still working out all of the bugs. The entire drive train is new. I will buy at least a chrome box, order a jet kit and new squirter, and pop in a new set of plugs and see what...

I may be a little lean, because sometimes the car bogs randomly.

One thing that I have not changed is the factory ignition box. Do you think that I need an orange box? Could this be the problem?

    Dart falls on it's face.

I am running the chebby beehive springs. Guys say that they are good for up to .520 lift on the magnum heads. With my 1.6 roller rockers I am just over .490 I can't remember what the spring pressures are off hand.

    Dart falls on it's face.

I believe the primaries are 62's and I can't change the secondaries without installing a metering plate right? I don't know what squirter is on it or what secondary spring is in it. When I tore the carb down I just cleaned it and installed a gasket set.
