ok im trying to get my 64 valiant to start picked up the car a year ago after it had been sitting since 1981. So far ive gone through the intire cooling system and also dropped the tank got fresh gas in it put on a clear fuel filter so i know its getting gas changed out the starter so it cranks...

new slant owner here can i get filter part numbers and best zinc additive for the money ive got a 64 slant i was going through old receipts from the 60s and 70s oil change was showing 4qts and straight 30w oil

on the good ole 1 bbl on the 76 dart slant im thinking the float is stuck i didnt adjust it at all and upon start up the bowl is totally filling with gas and comming out the vent. Or could there be an issue with the needle and seat? God i hate holleys

i just rebuilt mine this weekend on my 76 dart slant used the walker kit picked it up from orilies for 12 bucks

i just changed out my starter this weekend i left the shim in i didnt notice any grinding at all could maybe be something weird with the starter

well i changed the plugs tonight they were due i pulled off the cap and rotor and wires there was mosture in the cap so im thinking thats my issue once i change those out i'll have to see if that fixes the issue

So today i took the dart to the power wash to spray down the engine bay after doing so and changing out the starter now the car has a horrid miss.
