    4 door hinges

So does the hinge with the little wheel go on the bottom? I'm thinking mine might be put on reversed.

    4 door hinges

Are the front door hinges the same between a 2 door and a 4 door? I need to replace one of my hinges and not sure if they interchange between the two body types. I would assume so but want to make sure. Also while I'm asking, the hinge with the little wheel goes on top or the bottom? Mine is...

Can I remove the windshield on my 65 myself?

I removed my back window by myself but it wasn't easy. Kinda hard to push on the window and hold the gasket back at the same time. So what I did was I had some sheet metal strips about 8 inches long. I put a bend in them about 1/2 inch from one edge. I then used them to wedge between the...

    Vin question

I think the VIN question is best asked of your local BMV or state police. The VIN plate can be changed but then the body stamped VINs would not match.

Rear door lock rod linkage needed

Well it appears I may have two different year doors on my car. The passenger side is designed for a cable lock knob and the rest of the car has the rod type knobs. So I guess all else being the same, I need the rod stuff. The driver's side door has two screws on the inside edge which I assume...

Rear door lock rod linkage needed

I went to change my lock knobs and discovered the right rear door lock rod is gone and someone rigged a cable in place of the linkage. The knob was barbed onto the cable and would not come off without breaking the cable. So I am looking for the rods and bellcrank that go from the lock knob to...

    rear glass removal

While working on my headliner I decided I needed to remove my back glass. I removed the locking strip and loosened the gasket around the frame. When I went to remove the glass I realized I needed another person to push the gasket away from the glass while I pushed from the inside. Well I was...

63/64 dart stone guard trim clips

I got a beautiful set of stone guards from Waggin and it seems there is a place for a trim clip about midway up the guard that would pull the body side of the guard tight. It has a slotted opening which I assume is for some sort of clip to hold the guard to the body other than the 3 screws that...

    Restoring a washer bottle

Bleach will actually turn it yellow just like it does clothes after awhile. That's why you use blueing and why fabric softner is usually blue to turn the clothes white again. Might try using hydrogen peroxide if it does not harm the plastic as it will bleach things white as well. Leave the...

Very very impressive!! Now I feel guilty on the trade. I want to see what you can do with the rings I sent you so be sure to post the same magical pictures of those as you did with the stone guards. Can't wait to put those on the car. Will definately post a picture for all to see your great...

How To: Stainless Steel Trim Restoration

Gee Waggin, I just got home from work (look at the time stamp) and what a plesant surprise from you. Kinda ruins the fun opening the box when you send them but its even better to watch how you fixed them. I really didn't expect you put so much work into them but it is indeed really appreciated...

    Reuse windshield weatherstrip?

So if it is cleaned properly, I just reinstall the gasket and reuse the same locking strip? Any issues with sealing back up if you follow the normal steps you would with a new one?

    Reuse windshield weatherstrip?

If I remove my windshield and the weatherstrip is in good shape, can I reuse it? It's the type with the locking strip. Just want to know what to plan on when I remove the windshield for some other repairs.

    Spare tire hold down

I pulled the trunk mat in my car and fixed some surface rust. While taking out the spare, I was missing the hold down nut and the little round plate. I happen to find these between the rear quarter and the trunk rail. Question is how do these mount to hold the tire? Does the jack base go on...

    Positive battery cable routing

Question on how the battery cable should be run in the engine compartment. It doesn't seem the cable is suppose to run along the inner fender, along the firewall and over to the starter. Should it just run to the starter in a mild curve or can it be tucked in closer to the edge of the engine...

is this a decent price for these tail light lenses?

He always seems to have real nice stuff, just asks a very premium price most of the time. If I had a Valiant, I would have bought them.

is this a decent price for these tail light lenses?

Yeah based on his prices for everything else, that's the bargain of the year. If you need them, I'd get them before he realizes it's missing a zero on the end of the price!

    Solder ????

If you use a solder with flux, make sure you clean any extra flux off the connection and surrounding area. Flux will draw moisture after time and may corrode outside the soldered area. Look at an old circuit board that hasn't been cleaned of flux and you will see a white powder residue on it...

    Dealing with moisture/condensation

Health code requires that if you are deep frying while driving, you must install a vent hood. If you are showering while driving, building codes dictate an exhaust fan must be installed. If this is still defogging from a trip to lookout point,,, then good job and carry on.

    Backup Lights are working!

    63 Dart hood emblem

Anyone have a decent driver 63 170 hood emblem? Mine is cracked to pieces on the insert part. There's one on Ebay for $100.00 but that's a bit much. I am also looking for the mounting nuts used on the hood emblem and the interior trim pieces for the dash. Need about 8 of them. They are the...

Anyone ever think about custom LED tailights on a Duster?

If you are talking about replacing the tail lights with the LED strips and clear lexan, you might run into a safety issue. Remember you must also have a reflector as part of the tail light assembly. This required by law if the car had it when manufactured, which it would have. The stock...

    63 Dart windshield washers

Wish I could some credit but I bought it that way just last October. Been trying to fix the little things and replace the missing things like the washers and visors. Can't believe washers were an option in 63.
