there is a company selling repops of the vertical rod on ebay (comes with the bracket to attach it to the shifter mounting bracket as well as the rod that connects it to the shifter which you already have)
you will need a transmission mounting bracket which you can buy a repop of off ebay as...
aside from either getting the external balance flex plate or getting a torque converter with a external weight welded on I would think everything think else is the same.

I am going to hesitate a guess that since the tranny will be bolting into the same place, and if it is the same length, that you should be ok.
the key is transmission lengths, as well as rear end dimensions.
74 dart has a different wheel base than my 68 (was checkin it out to steel the shaft for my transfer i am going from a 360/904/8.25 combo to a 360/727/8.25 combo.
