Ma Mopar didn't put a drain plug in them. You could maybe suck it out or open up the case. Our you could drill a hole in the bottom of the housing and weld in a bung so you don't have this problem again.

well after more research of this site I think the easiest solution would be to simply relocate the vent hole. Weld up the old one and make a new one where it will match the lines..

Okay, I received my inline tube rear break lines. The lines are a perfect match for the 7 1/4 I removed from the car. But the "T" or vent hole location is not in the same spot as the 7 1/4. The 8 3/4 is further inboard by about 2 inches so the left line is too short and the right line is too...

Full it up til it runs out of the filler hole. Don't forgt to put the additive in first.

Do you have Green bearings or the cone style bearings?

Okay, again my lack of knowledge has struck. I bought axles with green bearings. I did not remove the thrust pinion spacer. I installed the axles without any problem. 8 3/4 with 489 center section with 3:55 sure grip. Did I do something that I'm gonna have to fix?

I recently purchased a B&M Hole Shot 2400 part #10415. Is this the correct converter for an internally balanced 408? Trans is a 727 out of a 1969 dodge D100 pick up. (I know its correct for the trans). The converter doesn't have any weights that i can see welded on it...

Thanks for the input. I got the rearend assembled a couple months back ( still waiting on painter) I was cleaning up a little in my shop and found a box with seal in it with receipt. I had purchased two. Must have put one in and forgot to put in the second one.

This may be a stupid question. Do you have to put the outer wheel seal also called axle seal in when using a green bearing? I was wondering because the sealed green bearing has the rubber O ring around it. This looks like it would seal to me. Or am I too much of a newbie?
