Can anyone with EXPERIENCE tell me if the shifter position on an A body tail housing is the same on a GV overdrive? Something tells me no.

Without getting into details, some other people are now involved in getting this transmission into production. The future is bright but it will take some time.

2.94s AND 3.09 box is what I run in the Dart with a stroker sb. It works really well for what it is.

You might want to remove the ring and the weights from the clutch too. They get caught under the lip of the pressure plate from time to time. Center force admits they do nothing anyway.

I've been through this too. My trans had aftermarket synchros in it. Although they looks brand new they did work well. NOS synchros made all the difference. Stick with GL4 gear oil if you can find.

To me there really aren't any options that fit. For the auto your stuck with Keisler which is a disaster. All the manual kits require cutting and leave you with the wrong driveshaft angle. To me, these aren't solutions. I applaud Jamie as its the only real overdrive solution that actually fits.

I did a parts list too when I did mine. Had way more parts on it, and a much higher price tag. All depends on if you want new or used parts.

I have 2.94s and a 26.7" tire. The OD gear spread between second and thrid and third and od were big problems on the road course, always in the wrong gear. The non od 4 speed, 2.94s and a McCloud dual friction is an excellent combo.

I had an OD unit first when I did my swap last year. It may be better with your gearing, but with my stroker (torquey) and 2.94 gears it was miserable. Swapped in a 3.09/1:1 unit and its fine.

I like it, but I'm using 2.94s. I think its going to need 23s or 55s though. I have a strong motor, but the OD is so low its almost unuseable.

I just did this swap. The bell ball stud is different on the OD unit. However, I did not use an OD bell.
