    Crossmember compatible??

Is there any major differences between a 904 crossmember in a 68 Slant Six Dart and the crossmember needed to mount a 727? Is the 727 a bolt in using the original 904 Mount? Thanks!!

    727 C body-A body?

    727 C body-A body?

Did Mopar build 727's in different configurations? I know there was a small block and big block 727, but if I pulled a 727 out of a C Body is there any question as to if it will fit under my 68 Dart? swapping /6-904 with a 383 and the 727. motor and trans are a pair. Not concerned about...

    68 Dart Suspension upgrade

My Dart's rear is sagging somewhat after 45+ years and I am needing to tighten it up. I did the same thing to my Scamp with an 8 3/4. The dart is a 7 1/4 but I will be building a GTS tribute. Question is this: Did 68 GTS have 6 leaf springs stock and are these being reproduced? I got my...

    Rear swap to a 65 B Body 8 3/4

Thanks Greg. I just wanted approval from someone who has already attempted this. Sounds like a winner to me.

    Rear swap to a 65 B Body 8 3/4

Read alot that says a B Body 8 3/4 will fit into an A-Body, if spring perches are moved. Rear out of a 65 Satellite going into a 68 Dart. The early B Body rears will increase width by around an inch per side. Does anyone recommend this set up rather then finding an A-Body rear and paying for...

Will this driveshaft fit in my Dart?

Sounds like I can get my C-body shortened for relatively cheap, so I'm going that route. Measure twice and cut once...... If that goes wrong, I'll make you an offer.

Will this driveshaft fit in my Dart?

    Pretty affordable. Thanks.

Will this driveshaft fit in my Dart?

Ok. Different wheelbase. That's what I wanted to know. Not sure if six shaft will be compatible since it us a 7 1/4 904 and this needs to fit an 8 3/4 727. Just wasn't sure the cost of sizing the c body shaft vs the price for the duster one. Thanks for the help.

Will this driveshaft fit in my Dart?

Looking at a 1970 driveshaft out of a Duster 340/727 car. I am in the process of rebuilding a 383/727 out of a 70 Fury to drop into a 68 Dart GT. This Dart is a Six car, so the driveshaft in it now is a no go. The shaft in the Fury would have to be shortened and balanced to work. Would this...

    3.23 or 3.55?

Yes. Mostly highway to local shows and occasionally around town. And who can resist lighting 'em up at a stop light every now and then. Great advice from everyone. Sounds like 3.55 is the winner.

    3.23 or 3.55?

Or any other gear recommendation for that matter? 2.94, 3.91? Thanks for the help.

    3.23 or 3.55?

I have the idea that I am going to build a 400 HP 318 in my '71 Scamp and was trying to decide what gears would be best for my needs. I currently run on a 2.76 gear/741 case in an 8 3/4 rear. It has a 904. Everything is original but not for long. I have seen several sure grip units but do...

    '71 Scamp Rear End ID

Thanks much. Thinking a 3.23. 318 will be rebuilt: refresh, more power, and built to run on today's pump gas. Appreciate the help.

    '71 Scamp Rear End ID

Maybe I'll just ask how a person can identify an 8 3/4 from any other rear.

    '71 Scamp Rear End ID

I'm trying to identify if the rear in my '71 Scamp is an 8 3/4. It would appear the back cover is not removable and I am attaching a photo of the ID stamped on the rearend. I know the car has a 2.76 gear and is not Sure Grip. Thanks for any help that can be provided.
