    Talk me into Fenderwell Headers

Denny, I know we've spoken over the phone a few times so I figure you wouldn't misinterpret my feeling on this. First off, the fenderwell headers do not restrict tire space and the master cylinder and brakes lines could only be a problem for an amateur who needs a huge unit to go with their...

    Talk me into Fenderwell Headers

To me, there is something about spending 700 + dollars for TTI headers on an early A-Body. I don't know about you but for me, that's outrageous. Sure, my 64 has fenderwell headers, yet that's all they had when I installed them 25 years ago and they still haven't rusted or leak and can still...

Think this would move an A body ?

I am all too familiar with the Hemi's of the fifties and sixties as I was driving these cars. I owned a 1956 Chrysler 300 back in 1960 and yes it was black and it was beautiful. When I hit 18, I built a 35 Ford with a 331 Latham supercharged hemi, that was cool/ Were you around in those years...

Big block in a early A, Headers????

My guess is the best option for a B motor /earlyA is to go with a coilover front of some sort to gain room by getting rid of the torsion bars and turn it right into an ol' Chevy or Ferd :)

Rob, But you'll reconfigure your Mopar's complete suspension just to follow the crowd, NICE :)

    fenderwell headers

I'll tell ya what, 30 years two cars later no leaks, couple dents on the bottoms and they work well on the early A's and of course I run straight pipes all the way back and into super-trapps. Sound is awesome and nothing like'm. The fenderwells were the only headers available at that time..

    413 c.i. 220 hp in an A-Body?

Scampi, all my knowledge comes from years of experience but you can read about these things right here on the Internet, just google Allpar or 413 hp engines. Here's on sentence from Allpar - 1962 saw a new and highly unusual setup: the 413 Max Wedge, with two 4 barrel carburetors and two ram-air...

Can this 1971 - 413 that you want to put in your A body be compared to what is written below, if so go for it but if not, why would you 1961 and other early 60's - 413 Displacement, cid: 413 Fuel system: 2 x 4bbl. Compression ratio: 13.5:1 Horsepower @ rpm: 420 @ 5400 Torque @ rpm: 470 @ 4400

Advice on budget a/body bracket car suspension?

Larry Shepard has it down pat. I don't get it that people insist on ignoring the MP manuals. I agree wholeheartedly as the torsion bar suspension is practically the best in this world

    392 hemi into a-body question.

My personal opinion of this is of preparation for the additional weight of the engine, that is by adding a couple hundred or more pounds in comparison to the original small block. The changes in relation to what is there now may open a can a' worms unless of course be changed with bigger pockets...
