I had a 5k verter in my car and left on the break at 4500 to 4800 never tried to launch higher that my stall...may have been doing it wrong.... but in my case why couldn't I have used a 3500 and left...

    If you are going through the traps at 5700 and 5700 is about the max, the gear you have in the car now is the limit. OK did some work on your gear tire combo. Not 100% but I think I have it nailed down. With your curent tire size, and crossing the traps at 5700 your gear is around 3.92 to 3.98...

    I have not had one. But the first time I had it I went (by mistake) from third to first at about 30 to 35 and if turned the car around. I thought I had killed the car. Thank god for a dusty closed road and no broken parts.

    I don't know how everyone's low band apply works but if I shift mine from second or third to first while rolling the tranny locks up the rear tires. If this is normal it might be tricky and costly on the street. I have a reverse pattern with a T-brake.
