You're getting air into the engine, now you need a PCV valve to help get the combustion gasses out.

360duster has given you great advice. To avoid scratching the crank with the rod bolts, cut some vacuum hose to about 2" long and slide it over each rod bolt. Cheap mans crank protector.

Yup, way too much cam for that combo. It will probably pull like jack the bear from 3000 RPM and up, but on the bottom end, it will be a real soggy dog.
