Steve. the factory D70x14 (200/70x14) are 26" tall already, you have a shorter tire by 1" already on the car then the factory tire. I would be looking at your strut rod bushings etc. I run 215/70x14 on one car and 225/70x14 on the other with stock steel 5.5" GTS/Formula-s rims.

225 is the max and is close. 205 or 215's clear w/o issue. And are easier to steering if you have manual steering. The stock 5.5x14 inch rims do clear the calipers. I wont be able to measure BS until tomorrow for you though.

I don't see a drag radial in that size. The street radial in that size has a section width of 9.5" with a tread width of 8.4". The tire equivalent of a P235/60R15. Keep in mind a drag tire has a different sidewall and they tend to bubble so the section width is critical. They look as though...

The color isn't hard to get and many of the suggestions are correct or close enough for govt work. but none of these duplicate the factory heavy texture of the cap. This can not be sprayed from a std gun. Back in the day we had flaking guns or at least a special nozzle and needle might work.

You're not going to get that center cap texture from a can. I believe from breaking it down and analyzing it. It looks like a heavy metal flake sprayed over a base then slightly built up after that. I do not know if glitter would be a good alt but the texture it appears is similar.

I found if I apply a light coat of a silver paint before applying the argent, It comes out tons better as it is very transparent and can be runny. The base coat will give better coverage and require a lot less argent. Spray the argent from a distance 2 or 3 light coats should do it, some heat...

You should be able to go to a 225, but I run the 215's on my barracuda.

On the 5.5 inch - 215 70 14 which is about an E-70 14 in width and height. A 225-70 14 tire wants a recommended 6" rim.

I think hemi has the picture above Keith trim ring with the dog dish. Very cool look btw for factory stuff! Also if you look at your build sheet all that stuff, rad, fan, fan spacer ect is all the last 2 digits of the part number

yes a lot of things would be last 2 PN digits, dizzys, torsion bars, diffs, wheel covers, carbs are, if listed are listed by last 2. These numbers come from the 70-1 parts manual. It lists them for Coronet and Dart.

Last 2 digits of part number..The code W11 wheel cover above is part number 2944 435. Hope this answers your question.

good point the ride height is well off also. The bottom of the fender is on the peak if the tire where it should be below.

Have you looked at the Firestone Indy 500 tires? When I was looking at the BFG to put on my Barracuda then found the F/S indy and it seemed to beat the BFG in nearly all categories and price was comparable. It also has a nice tread and sidewall design and are quite on the road.

I recommend you measure both wheel well dimensions of your specific car as not all things are exactly true and things change over 45 years. Only then, will you know for sure.
