    Magnum Head Cracks

    I'm in the process of rebuilding my 5.9L for my 2000 W1500 Ram and can attest to trying to find two non cracked magnum heads. The machine shop said not to bother buying used ones..they are all cracked....and burn antifeeze. I bought a set of reman heads with new castings. Really gave me a bad...

    Ya...you want to shift it where the engine reaches max power. Over revving it just looses time and power....and possibly parts! as stated 5500 should be safe. If you have a rev limiter like MSD ignition has then you can adjust Redline to fit your engine...

    Yup...you over-reved it.....missed a shift? Piston should be fine.
