Evaporust is what I've used on my project and have been very impressed, won't harm your skin or anything else it seems but melts the rust away.

I'm going to try Eastwoods EXO-ARMOUR on most of my bare metal parts, the specs are pretty impressive on temperature and salt spray resistance but since I haven't tested it at all it might be a bit of a gamble. Wouldn't mind if any members have tried it to let us know their opinion.

I hope you guys can work something amicable out, Joel's become a good friend and helped me out plenty and as davescuda said he's been a big influence and promoter of our passion in the A-body world for decades. His reputation matters to him so fingers crossed this can be fixed up.

Nope unfortunately, if you think about what a single stage paint is you've got mettalic particles suspended within transperant toners and there at all levels of the film build including the surface. The moment you start wet sanding you begin cutting into and disturbing those mettalics and...
