I have an early B body 8 3/4 and I'm looking to put it in my barracuda. It's only 1 3/8" longer so think I can get away with some back spaced wheels. I know I have to move the perches but I'm just wondering what you guys are running for early b body rears.

I need to get a 8 3/4 axle and I having trouble finding one for an A body in my price range. Im looking at one out of a 68 fury II, how much is the difference in length? Can I just move the spring perches or do I also have to shorten the axle tubes and what is involved with that? Thanks

Today I was installing the tranny cross member and I noticed that the holes where the rubber bracket bolt on are stripped. What do I do, can I Helicoil them. I didnt know about Helicoils and aluminum. Also What is the length of a drive shaft for my 68 barracuda with a 318/904 and a 7 1/4 rear...

From what I found out from the fender tag it had a 727, the car came without a engine or transmission. Ill try to post a picture but it will take a while.

It looks like its a 727. I found a picture comparing pan seals for a 904 and 727. It looks like the 727 shape. It has a bump on the right side top and a corner rounded off on the bottom left. The 904 looks kinda square with the bottom right corner rounded off. Heres where I found the info...
