well it's open,i guess i will make a new plate out of steel.and try some high heat silicone.i'm thinking the aluminum just isn't the right material for this application.all the egr plates for example are 1/4 inch thick steel.thanks guys

there you go...made that plate , burns the gasket out quickly.even useing high heat gasket material. solution???????

been wanting to mess with a turbo slant too.have built a couple 2.3 fords also.had it running 24 pounds of boost.it was a rocket!

so i put the 2 barrel intake and 318 carb on the dd.made a block off plate for the gapimg hole in the ex man.well bought gasket material for this cost 17.00 a sheet.the car burns it up quickly then has a big *** ex leak.made the plate out of aluminum.even used that all metal epoxylittle better...

it dont have a vacume leak,the mixture screws are adjusted with a vacume gauge to highest vac.19 inches .the idle speed screw is all the way out.

well damn ,it's running.so heres your answer...yes it has a noticable power gain.but,the idle is just a little too high.the idle adjustment screw is all the way out not touching the stop.needs to be 100 rpm slower.i adjusted the mixture screws with vac gauge.the engine runs much smoother with...
