    Roof brace question

Thanks for the input. Will require removing the headliner to access it. It's the original headliner so it will have to be replaced since it will not survive removal. I could remove it but probably need to hire some to install the replacement.

    Roof brace question

Has anyone had the roof brace to the roof bond break such that it makes noise on bumps? Years ago I ran over some of those big groves they had in the road before toll booths and after that the brace on the passenger half would make noise on bumps. I know it's that because if I push on it with...

****'67 Dart GT fender turn signal lenses****

I got the first one I took off apart after soaking it with PB Blaster for 2-3 days and carefully using two plyers. I also had to soak the old lamp base to get it out. I also had to sand down the rust inside the tube that the lamp socket goes into and a little sanding on the lamp socket. This...

****'67 Dart GT fender turn signal lenses****

I was thinking of that but was wondering if anyone had actually done it. Wouldn't you know the one complete assembly I had sitting around the light socket came out without much trouble. But the one in the car that is burned I can't remove even after trying to get some PB Blaster soaked in it...

I can't get the light socket out of one of mine. I do have another complete socket assembly out of another unit but they seem to be riveted in. How do you change these in the housing?

    1967 Dodge Dart Roof Rails

I'm temped to see if I can slavage the old gaskets since it's so hard to find one that works good. I've had two or three and none have really fit good.

    1967 Dodge Dart Roof Rails

How many profiles did it have? The original had 3 profiles and I've had a few replacements and none were like the original.

roof rail weatherstrip isnt fitting well

I'm now on the third roof rail seal. Looks like the Steele Rubber is the closest to the original. It has two profiles to the original which has three. But is does have a longer vertical part to the gasket which you need at the front doors for the glass...

    67 dart windshield lock strip

I got the lock strip from mmpar.com. It's the same shape as the original. The original lock strips shrunk like mad. Mopar had a company make them from another formula of plastic different from the original as a solution to the shrinking problem. I understand people were coming back with new...

    Rebuilding Door Hinges

The body shop that did my 67 GTS rebuilt the passenger door hinges. He's had bad luck with reproduction hinges so he believes you're better off rebuilding them. He said you need a drill press to do them since the rebuild involves drilling and installing a bushing. Probably a press too.

Anyone had their '67 Dart GT trunk finish panel resto'd?

The body shop took the panel to a shop that straightened it and polished. They polished the entire panel. Then the body shop painted the bands with silver grill paint. But I really think The Finishing Touch would have done a better job on the dent removal/resto. It would be very rare I think...

Anyone had their '67 Dart GT trunk finish panel resto'd?

I had a local guy work on it and it looks ok after the painted strips were done. After getting my rocker trim restored by The Finishing Touch, looked darn near perfect, on the north side of Chicago I decided I should have had them do the trunk panel. They are not cheap but do really nice work...

67 Dart GTS top fender trim clips

Looking for clips for the top fender trim. GT trim. Plastic clips. Anyone know where and which ones are correct? So many clips for trim and places I've call don't tell me ya that's this clip. They want me to send in a sample. Any suggestions.

roof rail weatherstrip isnt fitting well

Well the steel rubber gasket doesn't have the two profiles like the original. The original one changes profile right where the rear quarter window touches the roof rail gasket. The Steel Rubber gasket does look close to the original gasket on the rest of it. I just got it and did a quick...

    curiosity made an argument!

Would have to be the 67-69 but that's understandable considering my first car was a 1967 GTS 4 speed that was 1.5 years old when I got it at 19. Oh, I still have it.

roof rail weatherstrip isnt fitting well

I remember the guy in the shop working on the car saying the old gaskets look good I'd leave them. I didn't see the roof rail new verses old at the time since I was shipping directly to the shop. Should have left the old ones on. I was thinking 40+ years old better with new ones. I was...

roof rail weatherstrip isnt fitting well

I found my old roof rail gasket. Looking at it I see that the vertical part of the gasket is longer than the one I got from Softseal. Also the top part of the gasket from softseal is the same shape over the entire length of the gasket. On the original roof rail the top part of the gasket...

Windshield locking strips fro 1967 Dart

67 windshield gasket is different from the 68 & 69. Different trim too. Some people have used the 68/69 with the trim for the 68/69. My 67 gasket was still usable and I found some locking strips so I was able to keep it original.

One last go at roof rail seals

Anyone got a photo of the original roof rail gasket for a 67 dart 2dr ht? I made the mistake of having the old one pitched. I figured replace all the 40+ year old rubber right? The shop even said you sure you want to replace some of these gaskets since they look fine. Could have kept most of...

roof rail weatherstrip isnt fitting well

I got mine from Soft Seal and it doesn't fit the windows right on my 67 GTS. Any chance someone can post a photo of the orignial or one that is fitting correctly so I can see the shape? I had all the rubber replace on the restoration, figured 40+ years good idea, so I don't have the original...

    1967 Dart fender question

I saw a fender that was said to be a 1967 Dart fender. It looked correct except where the antenna mounts it had a flat recessed area. Is this for a 1967 Valiant? Some change in the production? After market replacement?
