    Haven’t started vehicle yet,just trying to get everything sorted before firing. Since new alt is internal regulated,just wondering if original regulator wires need to connect to new alt or just leave disconnected?

    Have a big block with denso alt, just wondering if anybody has a part number or application for the alt belt? I am just running from crank to water pump to alt, no ps or ac.

    Amp gauge bypass

    I’m using 8 awg from alt to solenoid with a maxi fuse in line. The engine, forward light and rear light harnesses are new, the dash harness is original and I cleaned all pins. The cluster is still out so should I still connect the amp meter wires together even though I ran the separate alt wire?

    Have a 69 Valiant with 470 bb, I put in a denso 3 wire alt and I ran it to the relay to take load of amp meter and ran sense wire to relay also. So I have 2 wires from the alt going to the relay battery stud as well as the two wires from the factory harness going to the stud also. The issue is...

    It’s a 69 Valiant. I’m putting the car back together. There is no issue with the bulk connector,just trying to prevent any future issues. I will be installing a fuse or a link.

    Installing Denso alternator. My question is,do I keep the factory charge wire connected to the alternator? I will be running a separate wire from alternator to starter relay and I’m keeping the amp gauge hooked up. Just didn’t know if there will be two wires on the alternator stud.
