Modifying Auto on the Column Steering Collars - NO Welding Required!!

I did the same mod on my 67 valiant steering column. One thing I did different was I used the wiring harness from the indicator light to power the indicator for my B&M hammer shifter by lengthening the wires. Now I need to do the same mod on my 68 column but this time I will be doing the ER16...

I've repaired a broken one once by grinding cutting and grinding then welded in a 5/8" allen headed shoulder bolt at work. Not too bad if you have the tools.

    Super Stock Springs in A-Body.

I drilled my front hanger as well. It sat a little high in the back so I installed the 1" drop front hanger and they are already drilled to 5/8" and have 2 positions. Some say that the s/s springs ride rough, compaired to my worn out stock ones they feel fine.

So how about that, front wheel flew off!

From experience don't buy cheap mag lug nuts from the local auto parts store. I bought a set and when I went to torque them to spec they snapped the head off a few. After inspecting the broken ones they where cheap casted with a helicoil insert. After that I bought good quality ones from a...

[QUOiverwade2;1969916038]I noticed my ball joint was a bit loose when I pressed it in so I put four stitch welds around it and it has held up for 50k?? I am a tig welder and fabricator for a living and if this is done right there is nothing wrong with it. You can even grind out the old welds if...

    rear suspension upgrade !

That's how I was told to set mine up from the guy I bought them from and I got the car to sit about .25 of an inch. Think about the twisting motion of your car and torsion bars are a form of spring. You increase the tension in one corner it twists the car a bit. At least that how it was...

    rear suspension upgrade !

Hmm when I installed my ss 002/003 springs I was told to adjust the tortion bars to adjust the rear height to level it so that plants the right rear tire for better traction. Is this not correct?

    rear sway bar?

I was thinking 1" tortion bars Max for my setup and Ive heard a lot about the tail happy effect when adding too large of a rear sway bar. So my plan is to do the larger t bars, frame connectors, and front 1.125 front sway bar then see how it rides and go from there.
