This is the way to do it in the car but be very careful. You don’t want to get brake fluid on your paint.

Rear mount. That would not effect my hard lines from the MC would it?

I have brakes on my dart from an Aspen. I’m in the process of plumbing them an ordered a new MC, proportioning valve, and will soon order new lines. I’m a little stumped on which hoses (flex line) to order though. Do I go with ones meant for a 73 dart or ones for the Aspen?

The car is going to be on jack stands for a while so I’ll just pull the old one and take it to the parts store with me to compare them.

Just bolted a set of f body discs to my dart on Sunday. I haven’t plumbed it yet but it took about 30 minutes to do each side.

The brakes actually came off a 1980 Aspen so maybe I’ll check some of those out. I just didn’t know if it would bolt to the firewall or if there would be issues with the rod.

Im looking for a 15/16 bore but this one may have to work. Shouldn’t the resivours be different sizes though if I have drums in the back and disc in the front?

I can not find a manual disc brake master cylinder. I just converted my 73 from drums to discs in the front so I need to get a new MC. I have had no issue finding ones with big boosters but nothing for manuals.

My master cylinder is almost 45 years old so I recon it couldn’t hurt to replace it. Next dumb question is that since my brakes came off an aspen am I still ok running a master cylinder off a factory disc brake dart from 73?

I am in the market for a new 8 3/4. I have an 8 1/4 now with 10 x 2.5 drums and I was wondering if I could use those on a new rear end.

I had a brain fart and swapped the pads around. Pulled the caliper off today and flipped them around and all is well.

It did look to be in a slightly different position than the drivers side but I never touched the caliper mounting bracket or bolt. I returned the pads and got a new set today so hopefully it was a bad pad.

Bench bleed and make sure all air is out of everything. Just went through this with a pick up truck.

I think it's about time to ditch my old drum brakes on my 1973 swinger. Would going with an after market set up be worth it or should I just out up a wanted ad for some kh brakes. Also if I did put up an ad what would I need to ask for? Thank you.
