My, oh my,does it ever !!! My buddy with a charger r/t was hounded by the cops and he had actual mufflers on his car. You wonder how all these harley davidsons can drive around with out any sound reducing systems..and they don't even sound good... Could you get away with just a tube muffler...

So why won't your side pipes..(and it looks like you have mufflers) pass safety inspection ? If you belong to a car club, you can have it verified by the club.... put antique plates on it and never go through the safety inspection...

I think many on this board would argue this but it is only your life (and anyone who is also in the car) that you are playing with.... Why take chances for $ 100 bucks.. This is just an opinion...

I am impressed that a big profit orientated insurance company will take your word for the value of your car based on some non related companies say so, a few pictures and a handful of invoices ? I wish ours were so generous. I will be curious about the outcome. What I cannot understand is...

It has been my experience that without an appraisal...done by a recognized appraisal company recognized by the insurance company..that the car will be valued just like an old car...essentially nada regardless of what you think it is worth and have told the insurance broker what you think it is...

There are enough great "free" 225s around that you could just do a swap...The one I gave away only had 35K on it...

Actually no. We had our original starter in the engine and we had to remove it. There just wasn't enough room to do this even with the header off...so we pulled the engine and replaced the starter will a small Dak one. Should have done that when we were doing our first install but we are on a...

....ah, maybe. we now shutter when we hear the word 'header". Had to install our engine twice because of 'em... ...but they look cool..
