Need to set the car at ride height, then put a floor jack under the K frame. While jacking up the car check it for toe in change.
Knowing someone with an alignment rack is a plus
I was also a racer for many years at Bandimere. I would start with a good adjustable shock and a adjustable pinion snubber until you get it sorted and need to upgrade.
I backed out of the beams, with rain drops falling and got DQd. Other guy went anyway, and crashed his car in the lights. My safety and my cars safety before a win light.
How hard does your car leave? Hang the front tires,how long and how high? I have run anywhere from a 24-26 inch tire. Shorter tire less roll out, taller, more roll out. So it will all depend on what your car wants.
Some tracks don't like it but, back when I had my car I had two line locks on the car. Had one on the fronk brakes, and one on the rear. I had the switch for the rear on the clutch pedal. That way I could hold the car and take some slack out.
Change the fluids and run it. It's bracket racing, just have fun. The faster you go the more it costs. After all, fast or slow it's still the best seat in the house.
