i dont think we used any adhesive on my 73 duster.it had a locking type gasket.

door hinge has bolts on inside,they can be loosened and adjuster

the backing plate wont fall inside the jamb if i take bolt out will it?the rubber is gone that cushions the sleeve and i want to address it.

i never found a repop one for my 73 when i did it.they made some, but they looked different,like you said.i did find a good used one that cleaned up nice.
