running out of breath in the 1/4 mile

I don't know if a 15 second pass is pinning you to the seat, but if you suspect the fuel is uncovering the pickup, just get most of the fuel out of it. Then just jack up the front end about a foot and a half and see if the car will continue to run after a while. You didn't complain about first...

    Surprised at Gasahol Result

Maybe the ethanol dispersed some water that was in your fuel tank. That would help a lot if water was the issue.

    Octane requirement

I think you are borderline, depending on what the cam is bleeding off. Can you get 89. I think that by using a higher than needed octane you spend more money and it is possible you will lose power.

    Why is this happening?!!Please help.

Will it run ok just idling off the fuel in the tank? How about revved up a little while drawing from the tank? Being in neutral is a far cry from pulling a three thousand pound car up a hill. About the only thing you can prove with a can of gas is that it will run.

Just did 2 to 4 bbl swap car starts wont stay running please help

Maybe you just need to start with adjusting the idle. There should be a screw that you can turn in that will hold the throttle open just a touch. Once you get it to idle you can start on tuning it.

I would have thought that carb would be good for 6000 rpm, which would be an area that cam wouldn't opperate too good in.
