It might make a big difference as to what the Ford 9" rear is originally off of - different vehicles may have different widths. I may have missed that fact, but don't remember seeing it in the thread.

I had Cragars on my original '69 Dart for a lot of years without any issues with the chrome. Upkeep was very easy following a wash or wash'n'wax. Over the years I've found the upkeep on the Cragars much easier than on all-aluminum unplated wheels.

Similar story to the one from g413 above. Took my original '69 340 Swinger in for tires and they twisted 3 LH studs off the rear drum before I could stop them. My current '69 Dart build will be all RH.
