Is the mini starter only on Magnum engines?

So my upper hose (/6) decided to crack during a drive yesterday evening. Question.....do I even bother going to one of the local automotive chain stores or should I save the effort and go through Rock?

Success! Just returned from Englers with the flange/bracket that is attached to the transmission for the Super Six linkage. Picked it off of an Aspen Wagon. In fact, there is a Volare sedan with the bracket if anyone needs one.

I'm going back to Englers junkyard today in NE PA. Last year I pulled a super six off of a Volare wagon. I neglected to pull the flange that is attached to the transmission that the linkage connects to. I understand that it's a different size than the one on the older trannys. Question...was...

I had a 99 Intrigue with the baby Northstar. At about 25K miles, it started burning a quart of oil every 2500 miles.

Is the GM 3.8 a shortened Northstar?

Thanks Dion! Last we spoke, I was considering having him do a rebuild on the Carter 2 barrel I picked up with the super six.

OK, I was under the impression that the very bottom piece, flap for lack of better word was also necessary. I have the spring, box and bolt and was going to make the drive back to the yard to get the flap, but it looks like I don't have to? Thanks ESP

OK, I've got to go back to the yard and retrieve the part of the kickdown linkage that connects to the transmission. The first picture I pulled off a posting on /6.org and shows the transmission connection for the Super Six. The second illustration shows the linkage just like the one I pulled...

Yea, I got all of that. LOl, I wasn't sure what piece of electronics on the firewall went with the EI, so I grabbed them all. You guys want me to keep an eye out for anything?

OK..thanks. While I'm there, is there anything else of value i should pull? I've already pulled the electronic ignition.

Any idea where I would find an illustration? As I said, I was feeling my way around underneath the car. Maybe if I see how it looks and attaches, I can work it off.

I managed to pull the Super Six components yesterday...intake/exhaust manifolds, air filter housing, gas line and linkage. However, the car was positioned on a hill with all tire flat and I was lucky to get the linkage out. I was not able to get the hardware that was connected to the tranny...

Just got back from the junk yard and managed to pull the distributor and electronics. He charged me $50, I think it was a good transaction. Thanks for your help!
