Sounds about rite to run at wide open throttle all day.... Or is that not what he ordered? Some folks are just out in left field. They build a performance engine and then wounder why it hates being driven in stop and go traffic for 2 hours.... Gosh

Put a 5W20 Castrol Edge oil in it and see if the issue is gone.... If your already using the positive seal around the valves and the guides are in good shape? the issue will be the oil rings are set loose.. Just my 2 cents :)

My 2 cents..If the Compression is good.. Fix the exhaust leaks with new gaskets.... Put some push rods in it.... A can of STP and some good Castrol 30W engine oil and run it while you put the part together for an engine swap. Just my 2 cents.

Rework the heads.... Bigger carb.... More timing.... I think your rite... Heads are most of the issue...

Recheck the gasket on the head, and then on the cover, to make dam sure the gasket is covering the corners... if thats not it.... The cover is bent... or the you must have a interference issue... I use the MR. Gasket 5876.... Or Just Plain Fel-pros..

Check the torque converter for ballooning..... Or it has a bad stater support.. But i'll bet it has a defective converter in it... That should fix the issue... :)

Sounds like you got a bad pump or an internal problem.... Time to yank it back out and go find the problem.. Oh and the 15W40 works just fine in gas motors... Dont fall for that B.S.
