You can find stamped wingnuts that fit on the bolt but the wings are now generally almost straight up and stick into the trunk mat - easily fixed with a vice to make the wings more horizontal.

Just pointing out one detail. The factory small bolt rallye wheels are 5.5 wide. The repops made in recent years are 6 inches wide. As a matter of fact I've never seen a repop that was less than 6 inches.

addressing the OP's original question - hell yeah they'll work for roll around tires - I'd go to 205 -70-14s when you buy new ones... closer to the original height and will also fit fine.

I have never seen a rally wheel car with an original rally wheel spare. I guess you learn something new every day - I'm not sure that I would give up the trunk space. I use a thinner tire (78 profile) on a original steel plain rim that is the same height as the rest of the tires.

I believe that rallye wheel cars never came with a rallye wheel spare, but rather a standard 4" wide steel wheel and a smaller tire - maybe that's why it doesn't fit - for sure it's why the spare tire board must sit way up above the floor of the trunk...

If you can take a tire off a rim the width is stamped on the inside of the rim in the metal. These came on lots of A bodies before rallye wheels cam out in 1970.

Vintiques will make them with whatever backspacing you want
