Updated due to epic fail..Wheel Opinions please... Big wheel haters should stay away

Not sure how I missed this one, I always enjoy showing off my too big of wheels, not enough "dish", too much car hanging past wheels... For me one of the more annoying things about this site is the closed-mindedness of the 99% that 72BBSwinger mentioned. Drives me nuts, but too each his own, and...

Killer deal on Autocross tires on ebay

Cool! I was hoping to pick up another set of 345's, but the $$$ are still a bit rich when I don't "need" them yet. I'm bookmarking the store though. Thanks for letting us know.

If you don't care for big wheels...

Definitely!!! And you can still work the rake. Maybe 2" front, 1" rear. The rake will be very subtle, but I really think the stance would be money. Looks good though. I think these A-bodies are ripe for 18's. These cars look so good with the wheels tucked into the fenders. Especially the rear...

If you don't care for big wheels...

Looks great! But I say two inches and you have the stance NAILED!

I think 18's are the way to go... Just my .02.

    18'' wheelo fitment

I'm no expert, but I must disagree with that statement. At this point, I believe there to be as many, if not more choices in 18 than 17. I do agree though, check your backspace measurements many times over. I'm not doing a stock rebuild so I don't know what will fit, but when I was...

    wrong offset on my wheels

not necessarily. if they are hub centric they are perfectly safe.

Using LX (New Charger/Magnum/300) Wheels on a 74 Dart

Those look great Snake eyez. I really like the 235's also.

    Who makes these?

You might want to look at something other than a 3 piece wheel, they tend to be a bit more expensive, but you do have flexibility in backspacing.

    XV overpriced or what!!!

Welcome to the world of 3 piece wheels. That price is definitely not out of line for a forged 3 piece. Check THESE out from Forgeline if you want to compare prices... These are a comparable design, more expensive and NOT a 3 piece. The three piece version is over 1k per wheel.

18 and 17 in wheel package

Looks great! You nailed the stance when you lowered the rear a bit more.

    Srt8 Charger wheels on dart

Just my opinion, no disrespect, but for the money I think you could do better. In my mind, the hard part about fitting a new factor rim on older muscle cars is offset. Most new factory rims have so much offset there is no lip on the rim. It's hard for me to tell in the link you posted if...

    Srt8 Charger wheels on dart

17's look good, I think 18's look great. I've never seen 20's on the front of a Dart, but I've spent a lot of time trying to imagine it because I'd like to have the Viper replicas but I can't see it working. On top of it, the tire is significantly taller on a 20 vs. 17 or 18 (tire size...

    Srt8 Charger wheels on dart

I've considered it but if I'm not mistaken they are 20's, I could be mistaken too. I even considered the Viper replica wheels in 20's, like them alot, I just don't think 20's on all 4 corners would look good on these old cars. With the right wheels, b.s., and offset, I think it can be pulled...

    who's Running 18 "s ?

Definitely a big my bad on that one. I thought I read on the RMS Tech Pages about avoiding the use of 18's, I just reread the tech and can't find a mention of it anywhere. My mistake, I'm just going to have to measure like crazy to squeeze some 18" FR500's underneath.

    who's Running 18 "s ?

Those that are running 18's, do any of you have the RMS AlterK? I'd like to run 18's but everything I've read says to avoid it with the AlterK. I know 17's will fit no problem, but I'd like a bit more wheel, plus the FR500's I want are more difficult to find in 17's.
