/sixchall, clifford headers, edelbrock 500 cfm. Early 70''s engine.

I had another slant six with a smaller purple cam years back and it was a screamer. People thought it was a 318. But yes, I might have to ask about getting the right degree on the cam.

The thing is, my friend didn't have the cam card when I got it. I took the cam in to my buddy 's machine shop and did the math on the cam. I hope I didn't screw my engine up.

I just lined up the dots. Nothing else. It runs but no power.

I did it here at home.

I might of over cam my slant 6. It won't run right. I've done a complete 3 angle valve job with comp cam springs. Up to 500 lift. Switched to hei. I'm running a 276/490 (PURPLE CAMSHAFT ) headers 500cfm. just don't know what else to do. Any info would help. Thanks Fabo

Hello, have a quick question about valve lash on my purple camshaft. What would be a good valve lash to start at. I got a three angle valve job with comp cam valve springs (up to 500 lift). My cam is 490/276. Thanks, Eddie

I got my /6 ready to drop in but doing my suspension right now. 225 30 over Comp cam springs, head work too. 490 lift purple cam (rare find with lifters) Offy intake with 500cfm edelbrock.

well my camshaft came out to be the 276/490. Now to get some new valve springs.

need help on finding out what what lift and duration on my new purple camshaft with no cam card. only numbers if found on the cam is, 1107 and H622. Any information would help. I just picked this up from my good friend that used to race with /6's. Thanks, Eddie
