    tach misreading - showing wrong rpm's

    is that possible? currently i have a speedhut tach. On a MSD6HEMI ignition box. I am not sure if so but it is possible that the Tach is showing ie 6000 rpm but actually the engine is reving 7000 rpm? Can I put an Autometer tach parallel on the MSD Tach port to check that?

    oil pressure @ idle when hot

    is 30 PSI ok? I'm not experienced with such engines. With my SB I'd say too less. Had in the SB all the way 55PSI regardless what rpm. Cold at 60-65 like the HEMI too. Filled 7 quarts plus filter 0w40 synth. No leaks.
