    I have installed the Toyota denso alt in my 69 Valiant, my question is do I have to do anything with the original wires that go to the factory mechanical voltage regulator, or just leave them disconnected?

    I’m running a wire from alt to starter relay, just wondering if I should keep the original charging wire on the alt also?

    Denso alternator wiring

    Installing Denso alternator. My question is,do I keep the factory charge wire connected to the alternator? I will be running a separate wire from alternator to starter relay and I’m keeping the amp gauge hooked up. Just didn’t know if there will be two wires on the alternator stud.
