Looking at small bolt 15x8 and 15x7 rallye’s. 1970 Duster

Anyone know if the 4.25 backspacing on the front clear everything okay? I think it should but I only have 15x6 with 3.325 backspacing on it now to compare to.

@72bluNblu ??

Yep, 15x7 with a 4.25” backspace should work. This is with 225/60/15’s on my Duster

Now, that is BBP not SBP. But even with the difference in track it should be ok. It will work with the fenders for sure, it may be pretty close to the suspension.

I'm currently thinking about equipping the front with 15x7 steelies.
I currently have 205/65r15 Steelies on 15x6, but I would like to switch to the Vitour Galaxy tires like the rear, where I have 255/60r15, so I have the same white lettering.
But I "only" have the choice between 215/60r15 which are slightly smaller than the current 205/65r15, or 215/70r15 which are probably narrow, or 235/60r15 which are not much larger in diameter than the 205/65r15.
My 70s Duster has an after market disk brake kit with bbp installed.
what are your experiences? :)
I'm currently leaning towards the 235/60r15 on the 7x15 rim :)

Does the galaxy tire make a 215/65r15? That’s about the biggest and tallest that will fit on the front (also a 225/60r15 should too). If those are your only choices on the galaxy I would say to use the 215/60’s

If you’re switching to 7" rims then you’ll want to keep the backspacing 4-4.25". If they stick out too far it can make the tire hit the bottom front portion of the fender. The back can be tight too all pending the tire size
