:thumbsup: You're moving right along! Oh, and if you ever have to put a starter on that brownish Honda Elephant.....do it from the top! It can be done from the bottom, but it's pretty much a Stevie Wonder job that way. You can't see nothin! Doing it from the top, you take the intake off and 5 minutes later the starter is on and your bolting the intake back on and didn't even need to buy new gaskets! Keep up the good work on the little vert! :)
 
Man those floorboards are tough to blast.... Only got the drivers side of the car blasted today. Need another good day to finish it up. A little bit of swiss cheese to repair on the drivers floor. Undercoating stripped from the front fenders and time to get the paint off the LH one.

It has been awhile.... I have been fighting a cold for the last few weeks and being under the sand blasting hood with congestion is not appealing.... Next week is cold and rainy and snow next Saturday so it looks like the holiday won't see much work done on the body either.... I did plot some data from this article to try to help me decide the biggest bang for the buck and all it has done has made me think I need it all :) That flatness and value of the torque is amazing and approaching a 273!

Some days you just have to stop and take a break. It will be there when yoir done. You driven the Coronet lately?

Too big. I am a small nimble car guy. The Duster is just the right size and I am afraid I may be driving the Dart all the time when it is done. Our daily drivers are Hondas for a reason other than I can drive them a quarter of a million miles and only change out 3 sets of tires and front brake pads.
 
Wow almost 4 weeks of no progress... The rain has finally stopped (till Sunday), my cold is much better and it was a beautiful day.....for more sand blasting... Need to redo the trunk where the deep rust pits are with finer grit media and hit the bottom and it is done!

Redo this tomorrow with finer grit and a small hole in the nozzle for higher velocity. I redid the drivers side today and it much much cleaner.

After a walk and 1/2 a bottle of tylenol I forced myself back out with the lie I only had a few hours of blasting left... 7 hours later.... I still have an hour left but it is close enough to taste.

Then I had to move everything outside to get the Christmas decorations down... I was too dirty to get in the Coronet so the Duster Girl moved it for me....

Pre-today with course copper slag and a large nozzle hole...

Post today after switching to a small nozzle hole and mixing in about 50% StarBlast for finer material at higher velocity to get down in the pits. Won't say it went fast but it is now not going to keep rusting with the epoxy primer on it...

I love that Coronet of yours, pretty car. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person. Will give my son some perspective for his car.

It was actually worse than I would have expected from Az but the body lines enable mud to build up in a few tight places and that was all she wrote..... also some ding-dong screwed sheet metal on the floor trapping moisture so they were worse than expected too. That is what all those round holes are from....

It's almost 60 years old, that is a lot of time for a lot of things to happen to it.

I don't usually expect much from these old cars and I find I am always happy with them. :D

Not worth the time since someone else make em. did you get the laysons link?(but I did crank out a set for me and it would have been cheaper to buy em since the first prototype is always the most money) . I like the "Niche" market. And I am forging ahead slowly on my 4 ongoing projects. Glovebox, kickpanels. top trim and side trim for the rear convertible pieces. ohhh dang and two other ones also.

Yea, I will order them along with the "T" chrome trim for the convertible chrome to the top of the quarter trim as well.

Still waiting for the rear trim top pieces.... :)

The last 2 days have kicked my butt after 4 weeks off from working on the Dart.... even the vodka is not easing the pain and tight muscles.... tomorrow is a day of rest and putting up the Christmas decorations.

Everyone is sick, oldest went to the doctor and has bronchitis so that is likely what I (we all) have. I have had it since Thanksgiving....

Anyway ordered the wife's intake today. Should bring people in to look at the Dart at shows!
