Hi Uli,
I used to live in Braunschweig not too far away from Gifhorn.

Hey Steve,

great to hear that you used to live in Braunschweig.
Yes, Braunscheig is really close to Gifhorn. Be a kind of district of Braunschweig. When did you live in Braunschweig?

Flo

Hey Uli and Flo,
I went to college in Braunschweig between 2000 and 2007.
Uli, I didn't know there was a paintball bundesliga... I saw that you're looking for rubber parts for your Barracuda. You can find them under "weatherstripping" at laysons.com . They're not cheap and I don't know if they ship to Germany.

Gruesse,
Steve

For weatherstripping try restoration specialties located in Windber PA. They make most of the stuff that other resto houses sell for the early 60's mopes, usually they are cheaper as well !

Uli, don't buy any firewall gaskets or body plugs yet. I re-sent the package to you -- without the government-offending food this time :-D -- a couple weeks ago. It has to be getting through Customs soon. Hang in there. Hopefully you can use some of it.

Can someone explain what he means by tinning? Is it simply lead he is using or is there something else going on here?

Can someone explain what he means by tinning? to tin or to tin-coat or to tin-plate //// if you have understood it now ////

THX for E Bay USA :)

Still no gaskets???? Maybe one of those Customs guys has an old Cuda too.

The scoop looks awesome. Can't wait to see this car finished! Keep up the great work Uli.

Sister Leanna ,i will do my very best to car finished .

I will to fetch your parcel monday morning at Customs guys :)

I meant more the materials and method used.
resto, I think it is more an english translation than a method or material. You and I might call it a rust repair with a patch panel. Hope this clears things up for you.

Nope not really. In some of the pics it looks as if he is using lead filler and that is what I was wondering about. Perhaps he is using a lead free filler and calls it tinning.Dont get me wrong not picking on his work. In fact Uli you are showing some great skills!
