Ah ha! That's the NOS instrument cluster I originally bought for my Convertible with a power topand can also be used for a wagon as well if equipped with the power tailgate window. Will look great in your wagon!
Correct Don! The latch should be silver cad and the hook yellow dichromated. The little opener uner the hood medallion should be yellow dichromated too. I will send Eric the latch and some small stuff to get it right. It will be a driver......
That's great news. Where was your car assembled? Mine was done in LA!I soaked all my hood parts in Evaporust and they're ready to send to Eric. I found that the latch itself still had yellow dichromat finish on the side that was bolted to the hood! The little latch opener was somewhat cad plated in the area where it also bolts to the hood and most interesting is the hook and handle - it appeared to be all cad plated under the bolt mounting holes and again on the underside where it bolts to the hood. The hook showed no sign of yellow dichromate as your is but had some cad playing on the inside of the hook. The handle showed cad playing on the top side where it would not be likely to get handled much. All very interesting that everything on mine was cad plated except for the latch!
My wagon was also LA-built. I forgot to mention that the "S" shaped bracket that the hood latch latches onto when the hood is closed was also gold cad plated on the underside where it's bolted to that flat plate and showed traces of gold underneath where the bolts sit. What got me asking about everything was I saw yours was painted red, which you confirmed was not correct. My package was delivered to Eric today I see so I should get it back in a couple of weeks (or less!). I also sent him the bracket that bolts to the block which secured the PS pump intermediate bracket. That was also cad plated. That's great news. Where was your car assembled? Mine was done in LA.
That will look great when finished. So there might be changes even if same plant. Hm, I need to wright everything down. Valuable for future! Any progress on your wagon? My friend, you know your stuff. The carpet is produced by ACC for Legendary. It's even printed on the box.Is it from Legendary or in an ACC (Auto Custom Carpet) box. ACC pretty much makes it for everyone else. I bought my 87 D100's truck carpet from Stock Interiors (who had the best price on carpet) and it came in an ACC box!
EDIT: and the fit and quality was perfect!
