Does anyone know where I can get tail lights for my 1965 Valiant Wagon? I am having trouble finding anything for it and it's virtually the last piece to my restoration puzzle. In Australia they are known as an "AP6 Canadian Wagon" but I think they are the same tail lights? A round outer lens with the "rectangularish" lens inboard of that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm happy to pay for postage to Australia for good unit/s. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I’ve seen YouTube videos on the AP six wagons. Not sure why they’re called Canadian as I’ve never seen that style tail light assembly here in Canada or in the US -only Australia. First photo is Canadian 63 Valiant (dart) second photo is what I think you’re asking about (a beautiful YouTube car from Australia think it’s a 65. The owner refers to it as Canadian tail lights as you also indicate)

You might be able to get the round ones from @Mexican Spec who sells reproduction lenses. I got some from him for my 65 Barracuda and they are good.

Find out what the original part numbers are and try the NOS dealers and Ebay no one makes them not even @Mexican Spec.

Are the round lenses for the 65 Wagon not the same as a 64-65 Barracuda or Valiant? They look like the same thing. The square ones are obviously wagon only. If the OP wants me to measure my repro round lenses that I got from @Mexican Spec, I will.
If you need the round lenses and they are the same as the coupe and sedan I have them in stock. Please let me know.

20 years ago I had this problem and could not find them then. Ended up installing 1960 Chevy Impala/Biscayne lenses. Worked quite well but obviously not restoration correct. I can't remember anybody ever noticing they were incorrect. Best of luck on your search.

It's been a couple years since dealing w/ tail lens, but if you find good ones for car (valiant), I think you can carefully drill on thru to accomodate holes for wagon.
Well if the angle is close one could do a custom tail light from a 65 Chevy Impala…

@GGs66GT - '65 impala lenses have to much angle in the lens. The '60 - '61 Impala lenses are essentially a flat mount.
@bradmancan - that is an excellent idea. Wish I'd thought of that before using a dreaded GM part on a Mopar !

65 Valiant Wagon
Here is one I jerry rigged. the middle was broke, so i broke it more and glued w/ clear waterproof seal/glue a clear cut out from an office light cover. Put in the factory reverse light kit (mounts on steering shaft) so reverse looks great shining thru. Mind you, this was all in effort to get car on the road, but it was a good functional fix.

I am pretty sure David Azzopardi makes the '65 Valiant wagon lenses in Australia, to his usual excellent standard of craftsmanship. They're the same as the round-lamp version of the AP6 Valiant wagon lenses used down there, except the American model uses a white central lens rather than the amber one used in Australia. Think Azzopardi has both kinds.
