Can you believe that my grandpa used to have one of the 312 4 speed GTXs? Don't know why he got rid of it...

Probably, because he couldn't hear the AM Radio,
due to the reverberation of the exhaust system.

426 Hemi's tend to be loud...........

Go Grandpa......... :burnout:

Didn't know if you had seen this picture of the Black Arrow car with the dark fenders? They ran it in several weight classes I think. This is from Cecil County.

I had a 67 Rt, never had it running though. A WS23J7 car. It was a rust bucket I bought from Chicago. The guy I sold it to put about 40k into it and had it restored. It was a white hat specialI believe.
The car turned out nice, however I also believe it took two or 3 other cars to resurrect it.

dang, i have a 67 coronet r/t hemi 4 spd car sitting waiting for me to move back home

grandpa used to have a w023 4spd car back in the day, all that is left is the title

Some 1967 History

When the 1967 Plymouth GTX and 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T
426 Street Hemi cars came out in late-1966 {October 1966}
they were classed in NHRA {late 1966 season}
* A/S or A/SA

The few that did campaign in late-1966, found themselves correctly classed
in A/S or A/SA.

The NHRA was also contemplating in continuing with the AA/S or AA/SA classes
for 1967, which were for the 1962 413's and 1963/1964 426 Max-Wedge cars
where they had been competing in the 1966 season.

Both Plymouth and Dodge had their late-1966 advertising campaigns revolving
around the NHRA 'A/Stock' Class.

Then, the NHRA 'shafted' them at the start of the 1967 season.
