Here's a comparison. Pics are before rear suspension mods and fender additions
Not bad. Equal distance between rims and fender lips is best, unless you’re going with over sized rims
Looks like I need another insane fab challenge, 340 is going in soon so I can begin fabbing in a Shaker Hood!Have you considered a Shaker hood scoop? You'll want to get one that is made for a 99 Dakota so it's sized to proportion.
After quickly coloring the mottled hood to better see its features I really liked it so decided to scrap the Shaker Hood idea. Then this idea popped in my head- functional 8 barrel hood. Stainless plates and butterflies done. Starting on plenums to air cleaner.

I think it's a neat idea. I can't wait to see it finished. You may have said, but what, if anything, are you doing here? Extending the fenders? Or trimming that header?
Edit: maybe you fixed it already. Some of the pics look like you did.

Thanks, yeah i can't quit man, I'm really diggin this cars potential.glad you're still at this.
Thanks Matt, was just revisiting their wares. Moparhead has same car, p/s too, and same headers with pics of everything installed. Maybe he can shed some light.Borgeson power steering boxes are smaller if power steering is an issue
What color is your motor? I like it.September 25.
8 barrel hood finished about a month ago. I began a full fit up of engine, headers, steering and z bar to make sure everything fits before final disassembly. Dougs headers are a great fit however struggling with p/s box. Header installs easily without box, but no room ro reinstall box and vice versa. I'll find a way. Converting stock distributor to electronic. Waiting on chrome pulleys and alternator, alt. Brackets. Upgraded to a drop in copper 4 row radiator, water pump and fuel pump installed. I imagine I'll fire this motor within the next few weeks.
