Looking great. If you decide to paint your radiator, I was told by an old school radiator guy that re-cored 2 for me a while back, that I need to use lacquer paint on the fins. He said it goes on much thinner and doesn't clog the openings and make the radiator not cool as well. The way I look at it, is if it's a hot rod....an aluminum radiator just screams HOT ROD! LOL. Keep up the good work. :)

This correct, that is why I suggested trim paint, as it is much thinner than other paints. Light coats.

Building a car like this, or should I say rebuilding is a lot of tweaking, fabricating, and making things work. There are very few pieces that bolted right up, however, we knew this going in it is all part of it............

Progress continues. I ordered a new sending unit for the tank and Sean is fabricating a new fuel line. Tweaks need to be done for the 26" radiator, the rad hoses that work for this application are '69 Roadrunner.

Here are some pics of the exhaust. 3" pipe to the mufflers then terminating there before the rear end, it should sound ROWDY, exactly what I want.

Those big ports in those hemi heads will be able to breath with that exhaust, no doubt about that!! And the sounds, yeah, it will be amazing experience driving that beast!!

Scott, you may grow tired of the exhaust ending at the rear axle. I know my 70 Duster with a 458 inch stroker and 3" exhaust was so loud that it was impossible to carry on a conversation. After about 3 months, I extended my tail pipes to the rear bumper.

Not to mention blowing up dust storms everywhere you go.
We will see.........................After spending all this money on the Hemi, I want to hear it  .

In regards to the exhaust, there are a lot of variables for a system. On the TTI site, it states if springs were moved in-board the system would not work. With the mods my FIL did I think this option is great and I love how it turned out....................

Yeah get it up and running and take it from there.

Wonder how it will sound pedal down rowing the gears hemi sucking in gobs of air? Which will be louder, the roar of air getting sucked in or the axle dump exhaust?

I 2nd this, my 3" with Flowmasters turned down before the rear axle, for me it was the reverberation from the exhaust bouncing between the body and the ground that gave me headaches after driving my car.

Love your build BTW, Would always geek out at the US Nationals looking at the Super Stock Hemi class, so many bitchin rides

Funny , I see everyone saying they put the tips on because they couldn't stand the noise. I removed my tailpipes and put turndowns lol. occasional dust storm in those dry cruise night lots but the obnoxious noise is so worth it.

Good thing if you change mind on exhaust no worries a few hours work drop exhaust bolt on something different, repeat till you get what you like. With exhaust some times just have to try different setups to end up with what you like. Been there done that a few times.

What someone else likes you dont like, what you thought you would like you don't, what should sound good doesn't on your particular car etc etc etc.
