Just installed a cheap 440 source distributor and the connector is different than my 69 Dart. Car has the black connector with grey/black and black/white wires and the distributor has the white connector with black/red and black/purple wires.

How do I hook this sucker up? I’m probably just going to get a new male/female crimp on connector and heat shrink it but need to know which wire goes to which?

2 ways change the dist plug or cut the wire and splice them.

The "correct" way is to buy "whatever" 440 source sells that plugs into their distributor.

If it were me, I'd replace the white plastic and replace with a matching end. Headlight connectors are very similar.

If you don't want to hack the car's wiring harness go to Rock Auto by a pick up coil for 20 bucks and use the wire and connector on your new distributor.

I would just trace the wires with the white connector and connect them to the distributor per this (or many other readily available) diagrams.

Why not just use the 440 Source E core coil that distributor needs anyway? Plug and play.
