Got the 2000 Durango running agin. It was pumping oil out from a loose oil filter. Replaced it and charged the battery overnight.
Started right up but wouldn't idle at first. After about 20 minutes it did so the seafoam must have done it's job.
Sitting outside all winter did not do it any favors. The windsheild has a 2 foot crank across the middle of it. It looks like a pp hit it dead center.

Hey I picked up a vote. Thank you who ever did it.

Weekly report.
Managed to mow the back yard finally. It was 15 inches tall. I had to pull the mower out of the mud with the 4x4 durango 8 times. It got stuck going up hill, going down hill and on flat ground. That was yesterday. Then it rained agin last night and today i have water standing in my yard. Glad i got it done when i did.

Today pulled the 2 wheel durango out of the side yard, over to the driveway using the 4x4 durango with the wife as operator. What's a few more ruts in the yard going to hurt right? Ants made a home in the passenger rear door of it. When it rains it pours.

3 days ago tornados south of us yesterday tornados north of us. I like it that way as in away from us.
I put ATV steer tires on the back of all my lawn tractors, yes when the spin they will tear more ground up, but I dont like sliding around.

My mower used to belong to the school district. They foam filled all the tires so they wouldn't have flats plus it adds weight for traction.
It's a 95 or so Yazoo front mount 62 in deck commercial mower.
When I get everthing properly gyrating it will definitely cut some grass.
Rained off an on all day.

The day after I brought my zero turn, cub cadet mower home, $1200 purchase from tractor supply, it was a returned mower, but had a new engine on it, that never had gas in it, I put ATV rear tires on it.

Bought it in December, in a snow storm, hr meter showed .5 hours, I guess that is how long a Briggs engine will last with no oil in it. (my guess, don't know the story)
I know, who buys a lawn mower in December, but I am a cheap sob, and a bargain is a bargain.

Have used it now for around 5 years, just change the oil once in a while, and sharpen the blades, it does not owe me a dime, but is irreplaceable for the money paid for it.

We LOVE it!

And, got new tires on the front slots (which I painted gold :D). Rear end is done, gotta git it and install it (it will widen the rear stance about 1" per side), put the gold slots on, mount the scoop and I'll have my "old school-patina" look

So exactly which race are we voting on? First, last, best overall?
you are voting on who wins when we race side by side. We are hoping to meet more than once, but no promise on that. The cars may not have all the mods done to them on the first meet. For instance, my car could race today, but my car isn't as fast is it will be when I do a few more mods. So if Jaba beat me today, he is the winner....for now, until we meet again and if I beat him, then I'm the winner.
  • And when we are eating chili cheese fries, we're both winners! :)

So basically voting on the last race? I mean you could call jabs out now, and he would have to race his Yazoo, while cutting 10" of grass... But by September, he could have an all out, 10 second super stock ready to go, and well...

Correct. Or, if he can't beat my 360 Duster, and I chose to race him with my 318 Duster another time just for funs because it would be close, I'm still the winner even if he beats my 318. Make sense?

Maybe... So this is a street car race? Not his racecar, but not your teener? Anything past them 2 will just be for fun

^^ A one time race - "winner takes all" would hinder us from meeting at the track multiple times with our cars and "run what ya brung". this way, if jaba noses me, I can say "hey, I'll be back".....

Kind of.... We have no rules. I'll drive mine, he is hauling his. Sounds like I'll have 2.94's and he'll have 4.88's with a lot of converter. The real deal is he is putting a "stock 360 4bbl" in front of that drive train because the "other engines" may not be done till late this year - if even at all this year. But trust me, if he can come back with his stock eliminator and beat me, he is going to do it and he'll be the winner. Should be a lot of fun.

Ok, but run what you brung? He beats your 318 duster... Hey, that's what you brung...

Last I knew, your 360 was really close to stock... Them gears would probably be a downfall, until you said converter too...

Yes, my 360 is about as close to stock as it gets. Stock converter in front of my gears isn't ideal. Look, his game plan is really simple: a lot of gear and converter equals jumping out and trying to sustain it.

Bottom line is that your going to lose...
We'll see....... I feel my car is on par with the plan. It responded to the headers as I thought. I'll see what the 2.94's do, then the heads, and maybe cam/converter.
