I think you might have a deduction for your heads, unless you are running stock 318 2bbl heads. Nice run though...1971 Demon, 340-air gap-650 vac secondary Holley, 727-mvb-4500 stall, 8 3/4-3.23, headers, msd ecurve, drag radials.

You are correct, skipped right over the cylinder head deduction.I think you might have a deduction for your heads, unless you are running stock 318 2bbl heads. Nice run though...
360willrun now has a Dial Index of 12.8 and went 13.13. Might as well record it. 3 tenths behind the index.Awesome. You have the first time slip in.

yeah, but only base elevation matters for the race. The numbers are pretty darn accurate when you add everything up. Pretty cool.7,032ft.... Subtract a second..
our DA is always high with the heat/humidity. Our track is 600 ft, so I get noth'n. I don't count the DA either when I make my passes and post the ET slips on FABO. DA was about 3000 ft when I went 13.13 (remember we were in a rain delay in the video?), so you gonna give me my 12 second car ?? not until I post a 12 second slip, right?7,032ft.... Didn't change anything but suspension tuning.I can play since the track opened..

Well Dany hasn't made a successful run yet this year as we started out with some problems after the trans swap this winter (ended up being a bad "Orange Box") So her younger brother Nick and I jerry rigged a quick HEI swap onto it and He made an all time fastest ET for the car and an all time fastest top speed!! (and broke into the 13's so, helmets now)
And as an added bonus, he was able to take out the black mustang she fought all last year in Brackets at tonights WednesdayView attachment 1715573534 Night Lights No Prep!
Enter him as Nick?
Its the same car Dany is entered with, should be a 12.2 car per the Penalty Box so we have a way to go yet but it's been a blast to see it go a little faster each time!!
To the gurus here, with a 100 MPH trap speed, where are we leaving the time on the table?
Any clues in the timeslip?
Thanx,
Motorpirate.
Oh, it totally does!! But, those are his first real passes where the car didn't nose over and its only a green during Test and Tune, and arm drops during competition.not that it has anything at all to do with your ET but that reaction time has a little to be desired...

My car runs pretty close to ideal times from Wallace RacingI looked at the Penalty Box again, and I must have not used all my toes and stuff before, because it came out 13.1 not 12.1, so we are a little closer than I thought!!
So, I went in and added his #'s from the timeslip one at a time and it seems we are giving it all up at the 60' the 330' and 1/8th. or the bottom!! Above that we are going faster than the calculator. My car runs pretty close to ideal times from Wallace Racing

If you believe the HEI is up to speed now then it is time to start tuning the carb. If you can drive around the water box and back in you won't drag water from the front tires to the starting line.
Awesome, making progress! Always exciting! 60 ft time is a little soft. I forget what gears.... and converter.... car should be fairly light... 360 magnum if i remember correctly.... but it looked like it hooked up good but are you mashing it out of the hole?. I can't really tell anything by the video. 21 mph gain in the last 1/8 is good for a mild small block, so the engine is making power for what it is.So, I went in and added his #'s from the timeslip one at a time and it seems we are giving it all up at the 60' the 330' and 1/8th. or the bottom!! Nick said the same thing about tuning, and I told him he needs to get to where he can lay down the same time repeatedly. Dany got to where she could hit 14.40's( with the old trans/converter) almost at will, and knew if she didn't,why.
I am sure a few more trips to just "run the car" and he will get it too.
And then....The tuning...
We started an 8.8 swap before the car started running like crap so now that it is back we hope to finish that and get some drag radials on it next!!
