Congratulations to '64BEL' (FBBO) for winning the 2023 3rd event of the season NHRA Winternationals Top Qualifier title with a very nice total of 21.0 bonus points. He picked the #1 qualifier in Pro Stock, the #3 qualifier in Funny Car and the #5 qualifier in Top Fuel. Way to go!
'alsant' (FBBO) was right behind with 20.5 bonus points.
'TT5.9mag' was the highest FABO qualifier with 20.0 bonus points.

* 5 different Top Fuel drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #5 qualifier Mike Salinas (1 pick) and #10 qualifier Clay Millican (1 pick). There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2 if both drivers picks survive Round 1.
* 4 different Funny Car drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. The first possibility of a head-to-head matchup in the semi-final round of eliminations.
* 5 different Pro Stock drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2 if both drivers survive Round 1.
* Pro Stock Motorcycle is not competing at this event

Congratulations to 'Duster79' (FABO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for the 3rd event of the 2023 season, 63rd annual Lucas Oil Winternationals, with (let's be honest) an "OK" score of 89.5 points.
He picked the class winner in Funny Car, his Top Fuel pick lost in the semi-final round of eliminations and his and Pro Stock pick lost in the second round of eliminations. He was also helped with Speed bonus points in Top Fuel.
'Back in Time' (FABO) grabbed the runner-up spot with 83.0 points.
'Nick2317' was the best FBBO picker with 64.5 points.

The 4th race of the 2023 season (and the first of the silliness that are the back-to-back four-wide events), the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, is scheduled for April 14-16, at The Strip at Las Vegas Speedway in Las Vegas, NV.
As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts at 2:30pm EDT (11:30am PDT) on Friday, April 14.
nhra.com does not yet show a list of entries for Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock.

Pro Stock Motorcycle will not compete at this event.

The only change is for Four-Wide scoring...

The 4-Wides are scored differently. We're using the same scoring this year as previously used and, again, this scoring is only for the 4-Wide events, both Las Vegas and Carolina.

Points change for 4-Wide events ONLY!!!

Same rules as the past several years:

These events only have 3 rounds of eliminations. Event scoring will be similar to the NHRA points scoring.

Qualifying position bonus points are the same as always

Each pro elimination round is run with 4 cars per race rather than 2, and 2 cars advance from each of the first 2 rounds of eliminations.

First round: Four races of four cars each. The 1st car of each race to cross the finish line will get 10 points, the 2nd car will get 5 points. Eight cars advance to the second round of eliminations.

Second round: Two races of four cars each. Same scoring as the first round. Four cars advance to the final round of eliminations.

Final round: One race of four cars. 1st Place finisher will get 10 points, 2nd Place will get 5 points, 3rd Place will get 3 points, 4th Place will get 1 point.

Same scoring for quickest e.t. and fastest speed for the event and for any national record set at this event.

Again, this scoring will be for the 4-Wide events only.
