2023 14th Annual FABO NASCAR "Pick 'Em" Game - Here We Go Again!!!

-
Looks like I picked the right team owner, just wrong team. Brownie points?

Next race: Talledega.

Pole: Blaney

Since this race is a total shot in the dark, going with Hamlin and Byron. I'd really like to go with Keslowski, but Logano seems to love taking him out.

As a reminder here's a quick explanation of what the above numbers represent:
(your score before the race) (your Pole pick car #) (Pole winner bonus point) (race pick car #) (race pick car #) (Stage 1 bonus points) (Stage 2 bonus points) (race pick finish position) (race pick finish position) (race winner/runner-up bonus points) (your score after the race)
Please let me know if I show either your Pole or Race picks incorrectly or if you have any questions.

Please post your picks for the next race and let me know if you want to "lock" them in for future weeks. I will put an "L" before either your Pole pick or your race picks to show they've been "locked".
As always, you can always make different picks each week. Your "locked" picks will always be there should you forget to post your race picks, your computer malfunctions or the site should go down temporarily.

Don't forget to get your picks for the GEICO 400 at Talladega SuperSpeedway posted before the green flag drops at approximately 3:15 PM EDT (12:15 PM PDT) on Sunday, April 23.

Your Pole Pick for Talladega will need to be posted before qualifying starts about 10:30am EDT (7:30am PDT) on Saturday, April 12.
nascar.com does not show any practice time for the Cup cars at Talladega.

Life/wife :mad:got in the way, no pole pick ... ( would have went with 22 ) :(:(

#11 Denny Hamlin is on the Pole for the GEICO 500 at Talladega, but no Pole pick bonus point award since nobody picked him.

Going with my high speed team.
22 and 12 today , watched yesterday's race, my son Mike Jr and his wife have been in Talladega, watched the two dirt track races at the Hornets nest Friday and Saturday night there. Today they will be at Talladega Speedway.

His birthday gift from all of us last year. Get a chance watch the wreck fest from yesterday's infinity race.

Been a fan of NASCAR and racing since a young kid in the late 50's. I don't know, maybe it's me, just old and grumpy, but I thought the race sucked.. ..again. It is nearly impossible to pass. I watched some of a race from the 80's the other day that was shown as some of the greatest races of that era, and they were different. They looked like actual stock cars, they passed often, and they drafted to pass. Now, I guess looking like stock cars doesn't matter any more, as street cars all look the same anyways, but cup cars don't all need to look like some form of a corvette. Xfinity cars look better, and qualified faster at Talladega than cup cars, and the trucks are a better show than cup, > IMHO <. Maybe it's me, remembering the races and cars of a (better) different era.

Looks to me like it gets more "All About the Money" every race.

Yeah you got that, the bucks rule. I enjoyed racing before as you could watch as they setup a guy to pass. They drafted and they actually pulled out to pass, even if no one went with them. Engineers worked their magic, good and bad. It's gone hollywood and the good old boy attitude is gone. Doesn't mean you definitely had to be from the south, as Gordon and Johnson knocked them all on their ***, but that YOU could do it thought (which you really couldn't) is gone. I still watch as I can't get into F1, although the engineering of those machines is pretty incredible. Guess like most things, we think it was better in our day, .............. and sometimes it was.
