318 A/C Removal

-
Should be fine, I just removed mine last week 73 scamp 318. the belt for the alt is 1/2 inch shorter than the belt for the p/s. it is close to the water pump but seems to work just fine.

here are the pulleys you need to do it right..

if you don't want to buy new use these for measurements atleast..

I'm talking about the hoses that come from the a/c unit. One is from the reciever drier and the other I'm not sure
thought you were removing all that? you'll have two a/c lines coming from the firewall.. i would think you are removing the condenser and the compressor from under the hood? no?

all those pulleys are oem and have never been changed.

OEM yes but they are all A/C pulleys and totally wrong for a non A/C application. same with that alt. bracket that doesn't support the alt. properly.

below is the proper non A/C pulleys and brackets.. all OEM except for the repopped alt. bracket.

.

crappy pic. but all OEM alt. brackets also supported the fron't of the alt. one way or another. this is the 70-up non a/c way of doing it.
