He missed his chance to teach.. I was going to give him a golden opportunity to talk me into two 750s instead of the 625's
But that's always...
You have your own no show King to deal with...:poke:
And a grumpy old man at that...

Dude, that night I wasn't teaching. My mouth was shut (most of the time) and my ears were WIDE OPEN. You can't pay for what I learned that night. I can still pick up the phone and have people remember that night.

I can pick up the phone and people will tell you about what I taught them 30 years ago as well.. like my friend Steve when I told him to grab the coil wire when his car was dieseling in auto shop.. I can still call him to this day and tell him to grab the coil wire and get an f-you!!...

With all the other events they have all year long I'm extremely happy they have this all Mopar event with a massive car show and a swap meet.. you had your chance the last few years when I had my motorhome and air conditioning and I would just have the announcer on over the radio... My freezer was always loaded with bottled water and anybody I'm bet I would tell them to come on over and cool off.. some members have..

We head down there and race Fri-Sat-Sun staying in a tent. We usually have a pretty big group Saturday for the once a year LX race. Come by and join us for the Saturday night BBQ and party we have in the pits.

Not going either, been in the top 5 last 6 years one of our favorite race weekends of the summer. We usually run fri night sat and Sunday leave mon morning. Freshened my motor this winter car is ready for next season . Hope to see you all next summer.

Just reading this, looks like no spectators, or swap meet this year. That counts me out since my car is not even close to running. My buddy is running his stick shift Dart , and I can't even go to see that.:BangHead:
He can have a crew member...

Hearing you and your brother aren't coming is pretty much the nail in the coffin for me... Look forward to seeing y'all each year...
Went to a cruise in locally last week and no one was using a mask and no social distancing.... I'm staying away from large events for a while...

Well darn it, if you are not going, then I am not either. How can I go when I know the great j par Is not even going to be there? :p Honestly, I might be able to go as a crew member, but he has a lot of family there, so it would kind of be pushing it. Also, it is close to the my 20 year wedding anniversary, so it might be best if I score some points with the wife and not go on a down year anyway.

I'm waiting for my wife to decide if we're going or not. My '63 Dart is still in the body shop. My wife had been talking about racing her '18 Charger. I'm mostly tired of not being around like minded people, so I would like to go. So, we'll see.

Having lived in Corvallis for so many years that race weekend was the best. Unfortunately at that point I was still racing the Cuda. And simply had no idea what FABO was. So never got to meet any of you guys. I ran a Sublime and Black Cuda with AAR hood. Kind of like the other twenty guys! What a great track and venue. I sure miss it. That was a great swap meet as well. I am racing in Jamestown ND this weekend on an airstrip! They do a fundraiser every year at airport to try and get enough cash to build actual track. I will think about all y’all at Woodburn.

I think I’m going to pass on Woodburn this year also. Second time I’ve missed it since 2007 since been back to Oregon.

I will not be going either. My car is not quite ready and with no swap meet or spectators I really have no choice but to not attend.

I'll miss being there for sure. And The spectators that come in groves make it extra special. people cheering and giving you the thumbs-up and stuff on the return lane makes it not only fun but a little bit special compared to test and tune or just drag racing on a normal weekend with the class that I usually race with..

Well I just got back from the drags at the airstrip. I had a pix for Jpar as one guy was flogging a snowmobile! While I was sauntering thru the pits as we all do, I thought I took a pix of his homemade front wheel complete with air deflection. But I cannot find the pix! While the craftsmanship and creative idea was intriguing I took one look and thought to myself oh heck no! The guy was doing 100 plus mph on big end with no more wheel size for steering than a Tonka toy!

The ones I seen looked like they had it looked like rollerblade wheels on them...
