I have a 360 magnum that has only a few differences between it and a crate 360/380 horse............

360/380 has:
292 duration intake and exhaust, 501 lift, 106 CL
mine:
intake 276, exhaust 286 duration, intake 496, exhaust 512, lift, 112 CL

compression ratio is the same

heads are the same. not sure if Ma Mopar puts a multi angle grind on the valves like I have

Mopar M1 single plane intake on 360/380
mine: Crosswind air gap copy dual plane

CARB: 360/380 Holley 750 Vacuum secondary
Mine: 850 Thermoquad off of a 77 400

Same distributor but I have an MSD 6AL with a blaster 2 coil

Same exhaust headers

I have read that the 360/380 crate engines are actually producing close to 400 horsepower as delivered by Mopar

So....the only real differences between mine and a 360/380 is the increased cam duration and the single plane intake......

For bragging rights could I say that mine was producing one horsepower per cubic inch (360 horsepower)??????????

you probably could. When mopar first released them, I think it was Hot Rod mag. dyno'd the 360/380 at 410 HP with a 750 holley dp and hooker super comps, that was straight out of the box.

Great, thanks guys... I was hoping that the motor with 3.91's on a 24 inch tire and a 3000 converter would get me well into the 13's in the 1/4. I dont think that it will be a problem. I'm guessing that the car with my fat *** in it(280 lbs) will be about 3400-3500 lbs. I really need at least 13.40 as I have a buddy with a 300 horse GT Mustang that I need badly to wax, (LOL) and he is stock running 13.50's. Last resort will be a 150 shot of laffin gas.

With a good launch it should go high 12's with that weight and horsepower.

Just for clarification, the cam specs I got with my 380 horse 360 crate motor are:

Advertised duration: 288 in/292 ex
@.050 230 in/234 ex
Lift .501 in/.513 ex
